SART (Search And Rescue Transponder)
The SART (Search And Rescue Transponder) is designed to assist in the rescue and recovery of liferafts and survival craft. In accordance with IMO, GMDSS and SOLAS requirements once the SART is turned on it is automatically activated by the signal sweep of an X-band Radar. The radar will then instantly display a straight line of 12 dots on the radar screen. Identifying to the ships crew that there is a survival craft within 100metres of the last dot.
S4 Rescue SARTThe S4 Rescue SART offers proven reliability. Extremely simple to use the S4 Rescue can be operated even with gloved or wet hands. Its compact design makes it ideally suitable for packing in liferafts or as a carry off device according to SOLAS regulations.
